Spirit of Giving: Group seeks school-supply donations for less fortunate students in Boca Raton

Spirit of Giving is seeking donations of school supplies for the 2005-06 academic year.

Donations, accepted through Aug. 31, will equip less fortunate students of all ages.

The Spirit of Giving is a group of nonprofit organizations working to serve local children and prevent duplication of services. A holiday gift drive and shared summer activities are among its projects.

Spirit of Giving participants include the American Cancer Society, Boca Helping Hands, Boca Raton Community Hospital, Boca Raton Historical Society, Boca Raton Housing Authority, Florence Fuller Child Development Centers, George Snow Scholarship Fund, Junior League of Boca Raton, Kids @ Home and several others.
