St. Ann's Place
St. Ann's Place, 2107 N. Dixie Highway, West Palm Beach, FL 33407-6011, Tel#: (561) 805-7708, Fax#: (561) 805-7657
History of St. Ann Place Center
In March 2001, St. Ann Catholic Church in downtown West Palm Beach
initiated programs to reach out to its poor neighbors and the homeless women and men of the area.
A food pantry was started, a van service began,
and the Church continued to provide lunch to those who came for something to eat.
Two School Sisters of Notre Dame were hired to expand these services.
Soon the Community Services Office behind the Church was visited daily by the most vulnerable of our neighbors -
those without a place to live.
Without overnight shelters in the city, these people had nowhere to wash up or get their clothes clean.
That situation was the impetus for opening St. Ann Place in a building purchased and renovated
by the Diocese of Palm Beach.
