Judy Bernstein is author of They Poured Fire on Us From the Sky which was chosen as one of the best books of 2005 by the Washington Post.

Adam Abakar is a young man from Darfur who managed to learn English and study in Kartoum. He took photographs and worked with investigators of the Darfur tragedies and came to America when that became too dangerous.

Judy reported that her experience is that the International Rescue Committee and CARE are among the groups doing really good on the ground work in Darfur.
