15 churches and synagogues in south PBC have formed a Family Promise network to help homeless families Especially see our segment on CBS Channel 12.

And another network is being developed as Family Promise of North-Central PBC.

Westgate Tabernacle Church's doors have been open to homeless persons and families continuously since 1929.......

The County Commission has appointed an advisory board....

The governmental and service agencies that serve the homeless in Palm Beach County having been working on a ten year plan to "eliminate homelessness". This is a requirement for receiving federal funding for homeless programs. Those working on the 10 year plan have determined that shelters should be created in three locations in PBC.......

The Homeless Coalition of PBC held a workshop ...... and one of the conclusions of those assembled is that special effort should be made to create more effort in faith communities to help the homeless. Faith in Action of Palm Beach County has been created to help do that.
