Fr. Andrew Sherman recently said "Out of nothing, God creates something" and he gives importance to "Evangelism" as "the Good News". He resists the appropriation of that word by television, megachurch and door-to-door evangelists who may or may not be being faithful (in my opinion) to Jesus as they call on His Name. This reminds me of teaching I was given decades ago that Jesus had many ideas that truly were new on this planet and that had important meaning independant of the Christian faith. "Turning the other cheek" has often been given as an example. I want to explore Jesus as a source of these "new ideas for a small planet".
